Against ObamaCare? You’re a Fascist Racist Hater

leave a comment »

Differences of opinion and ideology, passionately held, drive the opposition against ObamaCare.

Yet to shut down the effort to overturn ObamaCare’s unpopular assault on freedom and prosperity, the left resorts to a frequently employed tactic. They and their media co-conspirators find whack jobs holding stupid signs — or saying or doing stupid things — and say, “See! Right-wing intolerance, hatred and racism fuel this movement.”

Healthcare – Rocketing Toward Disaster?

leave a comment »

Recently our friends in Congress passed a mental health equality act.  This would guarantee that mental health care was equivalent to physical health care.

As mental health care coverage could only be described as hideous, this looked like a great thing.  The final effect of this law was one that no one could have anticipated: in this case, physical health care went straight to hell, plummeting to the level of mental health care.

Changing Tune, Administration Defends Insurance Mandate as a Tax

leave a comment »

When Congress required most Americans to obtain health insurance or pay a penalty, Democrats denied that they were creating a new tax. But in court, the Obama administration and its allies now defend the requirement as an exercise of the government’s “power to lay and collect taxes.”

And that power, they say, is even more sweeping than the federal power to regulate interstate commerce.

Administration officials say the tax argument is a linchpin of their legal case in defense of the health care overhaul and its individual mandate, now being challenged in court by more than 20 states and several private organizations.

8 more in Congress sign on for Obamacare repeal

They are U.S. Reps. Jo Ann Emerson of Missouri, Frank Wolf of Virginia, George Radanovich of California, Steve Austria of Ohio, Greg Walden of Oregon, Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma, Adrian Smith of Nebraska and Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska, and they are the latest members of Congress to sign on to a plan to repeal Obamacare.

Its goal is to “pull out by the roots” the legislation that, among other things, will require citizens to provide their “Body Mass Index” rating to the government and purchase “government-approved” health insurance whether they want it or not.

Doctors Threaten to Pull Out of Texas Medicaid

leave a comment »

Cuts to the reimbursements given to doctors who treat patients covered by the state’s low-income health care program are raising fears that already declining physician participation will fall even further, according to a published report.

The health care and insurance industries fear that a 1 percent cut in Medicaid fees scheduled to take effect Sept. 1 will be the first in a series of cuts as state agencies are asked to trim their two-year budgets by 10 percent to help cover an expected $18 billion revenue shortfall, The Dallas Morning News reported Sunday.
